Who We Are

Since 2017, the Constellations Center for Equity in Computing has been on a mission to expand access to computer science education to underserved communities. As a part of the Georgia Institute of Technology's College of Computing, Constellations was created to touch every section of the education pipeline. We are currently working in Atlanta Public Schools with a goal to partner with schools around the United States.

Our Computing Equity Project focuses on high school education and is the project that began this entire journey. Going into its third year, the project has already expanded access to computing to over 300 students in underserved communities.

A member of the LEAP Alliance, Constellations believes inclusion and innovation are crucial to the success of the tech industry.

Constellations is also active in fighting for social justice. Read our full statement here and access anti-racist resources.

Our Mission

Constellations’ mission is to ensure that all students — especially students of color, women, and others underserved in K-12 and post-secondary institutions — have access to quality computer science education, a fundamental life skill in the 21st century.

"Kids succeeding in computing is not about having talent, it’s about having access."
